My wife and I were hesitant at first but then we met with Mike and he came out to the house and was very professional and reassuring. Our door and sidelights were not standard sizes so everything needed to be customized. Everything came out great. It is amazingly beautiful and the craftsmanship is refined and rock solid. Mike's crew that did the install was extremely professional and respectful of our house. They left things cleaner when they left than when they got here! Before finding Cambridge we did go to Lowe's and Home Depot for door quotes. Pricing with those stores was in the same range but they were for fiberglass doors with standard hardware. With Cambridge, we got a solid African mahogany door with upgraded hardware. Between the quality of the door, price, and service we received I would highly recommend Cambridge and use them again and again.
“Angie's List ReviewGREAT. Cambridge is a small operation and so they can't install the next day, but are worth the bit of time we waited for the windows, weather, and their schedule. But they are very upfront about delivery timing and save for weather met that goal. They were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive but I can't imagine and install going better. Mike knows his business and was very helpful...and helped us pick a gorgeous stain for the front door, as well as the right hardware for it, and big windows and French doors for our needs. The installers were extremely professional and well mannered and always called to let me know when they were on the way. Never gave it a second thought having them in and out of the house for the work. And here we are some 2 years later and we called to check a leak... it was our issue (old caulking on window above the installation) but they checked everything, spot-caulked and handled it. Super company!

I met with Mike who knows his business extremely well, and although he was not the least expensive, we could tell he would do high quality work. Because my patio doors were old, they had to custom make the replacements to match the other set. Due the full exposure they get to the weather, I needed to insure the right materials were used to protect the framing from rotting again towards the base, which was a priority for me. All of the work was done as promised, and the quality of their work is excellent. Their installers were also very good at their jobs, courteous, and cleaned up after the project was complete. They did what I asked and completed the work in a timely manner.
At some point in the future, it may become necessary to replace the other set of patio doors since they are over 25 years old, and if/when that times comes, we will call on Mike and Cambridge for that job as well.

Big box stores have doors for cheaper price but quality of the product is lower and installation will be by third party that you are not able to check the ratings on. There were other companies that have doors that are a little overkill for what I need for much more money. When looking for someone to install a door I wanted to find someone with great amount of experience that installs doors all day everyday not just sometimes. Cambridge had what I was looking for and I was willing to pay the price. Now to the review. Purchase and installation went very well. I communicated with Mike the owner multiple times as I had many questions about the doors he sold before I committed. Once I was ready to commit, Mike was nice enough to meet me at my place of work to sign the contract and put down a payment. He was able to guarantee to have the door installed within that same week. Other competitors would be up to 8 weeks out that would put my installation around the holidays. I did not want that. Installers Will and Carlos arrived on time. They were very polite and professional. They made sure to protect the immediate area around the door from flying debris before they begin to work. They were very organized with their tools and process. They had a routine. Will paid very close attention to detail when installing the door to make sure it was shimmed and leveled properly. Trim around the door was installed very nicely. Caulking around the trim had clean lines with no globs. After the job was done. Will and Carlos cleaned up the area very well. The brought their own vacuum to pick up debris. They hauled off my door and took the old trim so I did not have trash sitting on my front driveway. Before making the final payment, Will went over the work with me. He explained the installation and features of the door. He provide recommendations for painting. Then asked if was satisfied. Cambridge is a great company and I would definitely use them again. I will report back if there are any changes to the door.

Will and Carlos removed 10 years old builders' grade rear entry door and replaced with new door. Items used were as follows: Endure Performance Standard rot proof FrameSaver door frame; Endure Performance Standard Force 5 Door Systems; Emtek Products, Inc. hardware; and Western Reflections door. I provided the paint to Cambridge Doors & Windows. Removal and install of new door was an all day event, but Will and Carlos were very considerate and professional. Upon completion of the door install, the office called to schedule for their painter, Adolfo, to finish all of the touch up painting. Adolfo arrived as scheduled and completed the job.
