Semi-Custom Wood Doors

Semi-Custom Wood Doors can be crafted to have that one-of-a-kind look by incorporating assorted options from our standard collection. We are more than happy to take our stock design and altering it to fit your needs. Whether that’s glass, stain, or sizing changes, we use one of our existing models as the base of your custom build and alter it to suit your vision. Or we can use standard glass & grill option with our Solid Wood custom made doors.

Furthermore, you can take things to the next level by adding side-lights, or a transom on top to add to the visual appeal of any door unit along with our custom leaded glass, laminated security glass, wrought iron options, security doors, Hurricane Impact Doors & Windows.

Custom Doors

Custom Doors are professional made-to-order and will be made to fit your distinct dimensions, designs, and solid wood options. The sky’s the limit for your new custom-made door unit; our clients let their imagination take over, and we have the tools to make those doors possible. We custom build our doors out of solid Exotic Hardwood: African Mahogany, Sapele, Walnut, Knotty Alder, Okoume, Sapele, Cypress, Black Walnut, Cherry, Maple, Vertical Grain Fir & Poplar wood. Out-of-the ordinary doors are tough for some, but not for Cambridge Doors & Windows, because our process is plain and simple to understand. So simple, that it can be summed up in the four steps below:

1. Customer Idea’s – It all begins with a simple idea, a hand-written sketch, a photograph, a vision, an inspiration from something our client has seen before. We build all our custom wood doors and door units with hand selected hardwood lumber, triple paned leaded glass, wrought iron grills, and over 40+ glass options to choose from. We carry many wood samples and stain samples in our showroom for ideas. All of our door finishing is done in our controlled climate finishing room. Visit our showroom Monday – Saturday.
2. The Body – The customer then takes their vision and gets in touch with of our design team, whom they collaborate with in order to come up with the perfect Custom Entry Door, French Doors, Room Dividing Doors , & Security Doors, that suits your needs. We will work with you to come up with a door design and a Checklist that takes care of all of the necessary components that determine and shape door design, material type, and wood species, stain or paint color, & hardware options. Details make the difference and are truly what sets us apart from extraordinary to ordinary.
3. Proposal – Cambridge Doors & Windows will provide each customer with a typed proposal for their custom doors or window needs. This will cover all the information regarding what will go into building and installing your new doors & windows: including measurements, materials, dimensions, Cad Drawings staining & finishing, installation, Entry hardware selections, pricing, delivery times, & etc. This will be where you will know of everything that is going into making your custom door a reality come true.Once you are satisfied with the Proposal and what your custom doors entails of, you give us the go ahead on the proposal, and we field measure and put together a written contract. Before you know it, the custom door is completed and delivered on-site and installed by our in-house professional installation team. There is nothing left to do but enjoy its beautiful custom quality as well, as craftsmanship for years to come!
